My name is Samantha
I am a 45-year-old mother-of-two from Leeds who has been working in the industry for 20 years.
I began my career at 25 after graduating from Southampton Institute in 2000.
I was thrown in at the deep end, learning my trade whilst working for the national newspapers at Yorkshire's biggest press agency, Ross Parry.
In 2004 I progressed to news editor where I successfully led a fantastic team of reporters for five years as we covered the biggest and best stories on our patch.

When my husband and I started a family in 2009 I took a back seat, working just two days a week in order to have a wonderful work-life balance.
But now my children are a little older, I am back.
I have left the company and I am now working for myself. I have fire in my belly to take on this challenge, and to be a success - to find amazing stories, to work with brilliant people and see great shows in newspapers and magazines.
I hope you will join me,
Samantha
